Q Is there any accommodation
A There is no accommodation on the farm but see links on the web site for local campsites.
Q What clothing will I require.
A Thinning and picking is carried out in the orchards so comfortable clothing and good footwear is essential, a hat and sunscreen will be required at certain times. It can be wet at times so some sort of waterproof clothing is necessary.
Q How am I paid.
A Some of the jobs will be on day rate and some will be on piecework. Day rate is a nationally set rate and piecework will vary according to the job. Payment is made daily.
Q What about food during the day.
A It is up to you to bring sandwiches and a drink with you each day, water can be obtained from the farm.
Q Is there any transport laid on.
A It is up to you to get to the farm each day, some people buy bikes at the local boot fair and others will walk as Westmarsh campsite is within easy walking distance.
